This year, the renowned South Danbury Church Fair will be held on Saturday, July 26, from 8 AM to 3 PM at the church at 1411 US Route 4 in South Danbury.
The fair features a wide array of activities for young and old alike, from readings and music to a huge yard sale and an auction of numerous unique items. Plus, there will be food galore, including a baked goods table, homemade ice cream from the famous Audrey Curren recipe, and a variety of lunch items and other treats for sale.
The yard sale begins at 8 AM and will include a “collectibles and treasures” section as well as tables full of books, toys, household goods, and many other things. The mid-day readings, music, and auction promise to be both fun and entertaining.

The South Danbury Church Fair has been an annual tradition in the community for a number of decades. Many generations of Danbury residents have participated over the years in making this summer event an enjoyable and welcoming day for both local folks and those just passing through.
If you have good condition, saleable items to donate for the yard sale or special treasures to contribute to the auction, contact Church Events Coordinator Kathy Neustadt at 768-3191 or drop by the church any Sunday at about 12:15 PM. All Fair proceeds go to preserving and maintaining this historic building on the southern edge of town and to supporting the community-focused activities of the church.
The Church has recently wrapped up its popular Friday evening speaker series for the spring season and will continue the series again in the fall. The series is designed to foster and celebrate our sense of community and to showcase the gifts, talents, knowledge, and creativity of local people.
