The 2014 track season has come to a close with a lot of success and well-trained athletes. This year, the team worked very hard and accomplished breaking through a lot of personal goals. Coaches have been very impressed with the effort the track members have put out during practice. A few members of the track team went on to our league’s state meet.
State Results
- Kate Barton was the State Champion in Discus, throwing 71′ 7″. She also threw 59′ 3″ in Javelin at States.
- Lexi Emeny’s Javelin at States was 50′ 7″.
- Gloriana Brown: Javelin, 38′ 8″; 100 Meters: 14.4 seconds; 200 Meters: 29.3 seconds.
- Samantha Parkman: 1600 Meters: 7:17.
- 4×100 Meters: Samantha Parkman, Lexi Emeny, Tori Braley, and Gloriana Brown: 1:03.6.
- Collin O’Donnell: Long Jump, 10′ 10.75″; Discus, 75′ 1″.
- Camden Donovan: High Jump 4′ 4″; 100 Meters: 14.5 seconds.
- Teigan Friedrich: Javelin, 91′ 2″; 100-Meter High Hurdles, 18.7 seconds.
- John Maynard: 100 Meters: 13.9 seconds.
- David Reynolds: 1600 Meters: 5:32; 800 Meters: 2:41.
- Nelson Makechnie: 1600 Meters: 5:45.
- Matthew Reynolds: 800 Meters: 2:47.

Coach Nick Fairall stated, “This team had a lot of drive and pushed themselves to achieve their personal best every time out on the track. I have seen a great improvement from the beginning of the year to now.”
