Scott B. Pierce, 37, of Ludlow, Vermont, passed away on June 8, 2014. Scott was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on February 22, 1977, the son of Robert Pierce and Patricia Moyer. Scott grew up on the seacoast of New Hampshire, where he graduated from Exeter High School and attended Plymouth State College.
Scott’s passion was modular homes, which began by working with his father, and as a result he owned and operated a modular home company. For several years, Scott was employed as the Seafood Manager of Black River Produce. Most recently, he was Sales Manager for e-Log Homes in Saugerties, New York.
Scott was married to Martha Krey Pierce on August 3, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Martha, his daughter, Molleigh Catherine Krey Pierce, together with Dominic Graves and Kristin Graves.
Also surviving are his brothers, Drew Pierce and Derek Pierce; his grandfather, Lewis Moyer Jr. (Pops); his uncle, Charles Moyer; and aunts Kathleen Peck and Loretta Kellough. Scott was predeceased by his grandmother, Catherine Moyer (Me-Mom) and his uncle, Lewis Moyer III.
A loving and passionate father and husband, Scott cared deeply about his daughter and wife while raising his family in Ludlow, Vermont.
Visiting hours were held at the Adams Funeral Home in Ludlow on June 16. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Church of the Annunciation in Ludlow on June 17. A gathering was held immediately following the service at the parish hall.
