Old Carpet is Out, Durable New Tile is In

Five AE/MS classrooms get a needed upgrade over the summer

Mike W. Langlois of Andover ripped out carpet and installed tile in five classrooms at AE/MS this summer. He's shown here working to fill a 2.5" sag in the floor of one of the classrooms before prepping it to receive the new tiles. The project was especially meaningful for Mike because his daughter Desiree Langlois and his grandsons Anthony and Dylan Hammond all attend AE/MS. Photo: Charlie Darling

A finished classroom. The background tile is the same in each classroom, but each teacher got to pick the colors of the accent tiles for his or her classroom. Photo: Charlie Darling
