Former Andover resident and honorary member of the Andover Service Club, Arlyne (also spelled Arline) French turns 100 years young on July 17. In honor of this prestigious occasion, the longtime resident of the Havenwood Retirement Community in Concord held a birthday bash in one of the party rooms at the center.

Friends and relatives from all over the US and at Havenwood joined Arlyne in celebrating her big day.

Married to an Air Force officer, Arlyne has traveled extensively, and much of her artwork reflects her experiences in other countries.

Arlyne is an inspiration to many. Being extremely creative, she performed as a clown for several years in Concord, has painted, been an accomplished photographer, and continues to do bead work. Some of her fabulous necklaces are on sale in the Havenwood gift shop.

For the past several winters, Arlyne has stayed with her daughter in Hawaii, returning in late April to her condo at Havenwood.
