A student group from Proctor Academy, led by head athletic trainer Chris Young, organized Andover’s first annual St. Baldrick’s Day event in March as part of Proctor’s Project Period week. Recently, the final fundraising tally for the event came in and totaled $30,271!
While Proctor organized the event, it was through the efforts of the Andover Fire Department, the Andover branch of Lake Sunapee Bank, and countless others in the town (like the Beacon’s Charlie Darling) that such a significant amount of money was raised to support childhood cancer research.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event so meaningful, and we hope you start thinking about being a part of the event next year!
