Our office will be closed on Monday, September 1 for Labor Day. We will be open as usual for the rest of the week.

Tax Revenue

I have done a comparison of this year’s tax revenue with that of 2013. By June 30, 2013, we had collected a total of $639,344 in tax revenue. This is made up of principal, $590,434; interest and penalties, $30,707; and unassigned credits (taxes paid in advance), $18,201.

At the end of June 2014, we had collected $662,158, which is made up of principal, $597,273; interest, $36,463; and unassigned credits, $28,422. These figures indicate that collections remain fairly constant from year to year.

Town Clerk Revenue

I also like to look at the revenue we bring in on the Town Clerk side of the office. This year at the end of June, our revenue was $195,502, compared to $186,711 in 2013. The bulk of this came from vehicle registrations, at $190,821. We have registered 262 new vehicles, 1,396 vehicle renewals, and 68 boats.

Online Payments

More and more of Andover’s residents are using our online payment services at Andover.NH.us. So far this year we have processed 54 motor vehicle registrations for a total of $9,855 and 17 tax payments for a total of $31,996.
