Outdoors - Special Olympics - Rail Trail RunSpecial Olympics New Hampshire invites runners and bicyclists to participate in the inaugural Rail Trail Run and Ride event being held on Saturday, September 27, at Proctor Academy. The Rail Trail Run and Ride event will be an all-inclusive event featuring a variety of running and bicycling race events and a Family Fun Festival all rolled into one.

With 5K and 10K running/walking events and 100K and 50K bicycling events, this event is designed to be welcoming for people of all ages and abilities, from the most avid runners and cyclists to the most novice beginners. All of the races start and finish at Proctor Academy.

Families can join in the fun with a 4.5-mile family bike ride beginning at the Highland Lake Inn and traveling the Northern Rail Trail to Proctor Academy’s Carr Field.

All of the races will take place amidst the beauty of the Northern Rail Trail and conclude at Proctor Academy, where a Family Fun Festival will be taking place with food, entertainment, inflatables, and more.

This Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) event will help cover assessment costs for first year Special Olympics New Hampshire athletes. LETR, run by law enforcement professionals from around the world, is the largest grass-roots fundraising organization for the Special Olympics.
