Bluewater Farm Helps Bolster Area Wood Bank

Kearsarge Wood Ministry serves area residents

A team of volunteers from the New London-based Kearsarge Wood Ministry ("the wood bank") visited Bluewater Farm on Bradley Lake in July to harvest cordwood for distribution next winter to area residents in need. Pictured are volunteers and Bluewater Farm owner Deb Brower, who donated the wood. Left to right: Bob Wright of Bradford; Deb Brower; Steve Allenby, New London; John Foulds, Sunapee; and Mike Sanville, Wilmot. The Kearsarge Wood Ministry is an outreach effort of the First Baptist Church of New London, and its volunteers are drawn from that church and from the Kearsarge Community Presbyterian Church, which provides significant support. The wood bank serves towns within the Kearsarge region, including Andover. For more information, contact Steve Allenby at SAllenby@aol.com. Caption and photo: Larry Chase
