Correspondence. Steve read a note from two appreciative trail users and donors.

Old Business

Action items. Ellsworth inquired about a presentation board to display our plaques and awards.

Maintenance. After a recent storm, there were about three large trees down, and Ed Hiller and his sons-in-law and Ricker Miller both quickly responded to clear the trail. Steve Robinson continues to closely monitor the Danbury section. Pat Cutter posted a note at the Potter Place Railroad Museum to call Peter, then Bob, with any reported trail issues. John Schoeller will begin mowing the sides of the trail beginning July 17.

Boscawen questions. Finish Line Celebration: Bob shared his budget (he has decided to drop the bicycle race) and the celebration schedule of activities from 10 AM to noon on Saturday, October 4 (rain date: Sunday, October 5). We need a new poster board of the full trail map (Alex). The invitation and award (Golden Spike) lists were refined. The idea of a poster board or a program listing volunteers was discussed.

Policy on listing hotels on our Web site. Pecco proposed that a hotel that supports the FNRT (two-night stay voucher) can put a link on our Web site. Lindy suggested that we use a sponsor page with a link to supporting businesses. Discussion to be continued.

SRK Greenway Race, August 21 through 24. Tom will look to staff the first and last day of the race.

Saleable items with FNRT logo. A motion to spend $275 on hats was approved.

Blue signs. Authorization for expenditure. The signs should be non-commercial (brown), with no expense but a $10 annual fee. Ralph Ressler made the call to Margaret Wells of DOT. The expenditure to spend the $1,600 on blue signs is postponed until further discussion in August.

Upcoming meetings and events. Andover Historical Society’s Old Time Fair in Potter Place on Sunday, August 3. August FNRT meeting on Wednesday, August 20. SRK Greenway race from Thursday, August 21 to Sunday, August 24. Run and Ride on Saturday, September 27. Finish Line celebration in Boscawen on Saturday, October 4.
