About 75 people attended the Wilmot Old Home Day Celebration in North Wilmot on August 17, making it the oldest continuously-celebrated Old Home Day event in New Hampshire. Three events marked the celebration: a rousing worship service lead by former Camp Wilmot camper and now Reverend Jeff Mansfield at the historic North Wilmot Church; a band concert performance by the Kearsarge Community Band often led by concertmistress and Old Home Day chairperson Nola Aldrich, with a lovely Jane Kenyon poem recitation by Mary Jane Ogmundson; and an hour or two spent with our favorite New Hampshire humorist, Rebecca Rule. The day was a piece of Americana that was pure charm. Pictured here, chatting at Wilmot Old Home Day, are Walter Walker (Andover High School ’49) and Jack McAuliffe. Photo and caption: Lindy Heim
