Trick or treaters will find plenty of fun – and goodies too – at the Wilmot Community Association’s (WCA) annual free Halloween Party from 5 to 7:30 PM on Friday, October 31, at the WCA’s Red Barn, 64 Village Road, next to the post office in Wilmot Flat.
Popular former first-grade teacher Mrs. O (Mary Jane Ogmundson) will kick off the event at 5 PM by reading some of her not-so-spooky stories. The Wilmot Public Library has joined with the WCA to offer families with young trick-or-treaters a chance to hear stories and enjoy a traditional haunted party all at the same place.
Rachel and Keith Seamans will once again decorate the Association’s Red Barn for Halloween. Treats for youngsters will include cider, cookies, candy, and other goodies. The young and the young at heart are invited to don a costume and join the fun.
The WCA, a not-for-profit organization, provides the facilities for social, recreational, and educational activities in Wilmot. The organization owns and operates both the Red Barn, a community center on Village Road, and Timothy Patten Park, a beach and playground on Shindagan Road in Wilmot.
