Last year, I went to Washington with a new approach. To end the gridlock, I’ve worked to bring together Representatives from both parties in order to find common ground and strengthen the middle class. Shortly into my first year, I co-founded the United Solutions Caucus, a coalition of Republicans and Democrats committed to working together to find solutions to our nation’s economic challenges.
I’m beginning to see real results from this approach. As a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, I worked across the aisle to pass into law important reforms to ensure New Hampshire veterans can get medical care sooner, and closer to home. I successfully fought to open two new VA clinics in Colebrook and Berlin, and I partnered with a Republican from Indiana, Jackie Walorski, to pass into law important whistleblower protections for military service members who report sexual abuse.
To increase economic opportunity for Granite State workers, I’ve hosted a series of job fairs, where I’ve connected hundreds of job seekers with dozens of employers. And so that higher education remains affordable for Granite State families, I helped pass into law new reforms to prevent a doubling in student loan interest rates. In addition, I’ve sponsored legislation to cut taxes for small businesses, so they can reinvest in their companies, expand, and hire more workers.
I would be honored to earn your vote on November 4. If re-elected, I’ll continue to fight to grow the middle class and increase economic security for Granite State families.
