AE/MS Holds Its First Outdoor Assembly

New amphitheater has "stage" with electricity and lawn seating

At the outdoor assembly, Mr. Hubbard's third grade students shared with the school some of what they have already learned this fall. The students held up poster boards and talked about Google Docs, critical thinking, editing (lots), cooperation, and paragraphs. Mr. Hubbard's class has also published their first newspaper, The Hubbard Herald. Caption: Jane Slayton

October 17 marked the first outdoor assembly in AE/MS' new partially-built amphitheater. A concrete pad for a stage and electricity are in place, surrounded on three sides by a wonderful sloping lawn for seating. The Andover Eagle is awarded to AE/MS staff members who go above and beyond the school's Eagle Code. Kindergarten student Chance Thibault and the rest of the kindergarten class chose to give the Eagle to Ms. Stacy Rowe. Ms. Rowe is always helpful, caring, and a good friend to the kindergarten students. In this photo are Chance Thibault, Ernie the Eagle, and Sadie Duquette (Ernie's handler). Caption: Jane Slayton
