M. Billie Dube, 70, of Andover, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at New London Hospital after losing her battle with cancer. She died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born in Portland, Maine on September 5, 1944 and was the daughter of Charles and Iris Thompson. She grew up in Bolsters Mills, Maine and attended Oxford Hills High School. She was an avid golfer when she was younger and loved to knit, crochet, and decorate cakes for friends and family. She was a devoted mother and nana, and nothing gave her more joy than her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, James Orrok Jr. of Wilmot, his wife Tammie, and their two daughters, Alysha and Katelyn; her daughter, Julie Orrok Slack of Springfield, her husband Kevin, and their daughter Bethany and son Dakota. She is also survived by her partner, Jonathan Taylor of New Durham; and her sisters, Gail Trenbeth of Boulder, Colorado and Helen Robillard of South Paris, Maine.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Dube, and two siblings: Robert St. Michel, Jr. and Laurie Newhall.
A graveside service will be held at Bunker Hill Cemetery at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to M. Billie Dube Trust, 355 Shad Hill Road, Springfield 03284 for her grandchildren.
