Jan 10 & 11 “Painting Flowers in Still Life” with Tatiana Yavonskaya-Sink – 2 Days: 9:30-4:30
This class is a studio class designed for painting fresh flowers with combinations of beautiful still life objects. Students will be introduced to different approaches and techniques
Jan 15-Feb 19 “Introduction to Pastel Painting” with Elizabeth Craumer -6 Thursdays: 9:00-12:00
Have you always wanted to learn how to paint in pastels? Have you been curious about pastels? Are you confused by the number of pastels out there? Do you wish you knew more about color? Come and learn how to paint with pastels. We will go over how to set yourself up for the best success in the medium. We will explore how to simplify the complexities of landscapes and at the same time learn how to create form. As a group, we will get into detail about composition and color. You will learn how to add drama to your paintings. Having prior drawing skills is an important place to start.
Jan 26-Feb 16 “Junk into Jewelry” with Alison Vernon (grades 6-12) -4 Mondays: 4:00-5:15
Many things we consider junk are actually…beautiful! In this class we will take trash and repurpose it into chic jewelry.

Feb 5-March 12 Group Voice Lessons for Beginners with Susan Bianco-Cello -6 Thursdays 6:15-6:45 Would you like to learn to sing better? This group is for beginners who want to learn to read music and sing!
March 7&8 “Blocking -In” with Tatiana Yavonskaya-Sink -2 Day Workshop: 9:30-4:30
The objective of this course is to obtain confidence by doing repetitious multiple tasks of blocking-in painting stages when you start your painting.
The course offers students practice in the basic numerous block-ins for painting human head; flowers/still life setting; landscape, and show you how contemporary masters do it. Each class will include a short demo and individual attention to discuss all starting process problems.
March 26 & 27 “How to Complete a Painting” Tatiana Yavonskaya-Sink – 2 Day Workshop:9:30-4:30 Once you have begun your painting, how do you complete it? This studio course will show you how!
April 6&13 “Make a Sculpture” Alison Vernon -2 Day Class: 4:00-5:15
Each student will receive a wooden shape with a stand. The student will have to explore their crazy-creative side from determining the orientation of their shape on the stand to designing the end result. All materials provided.
April 11 & 12 “What you see vs What you know”- Tatiana Yavonskaya-Sink -2 Days: 9:30-4:30
We know they are not the same thing but how does the painter discriminate between these things and choose the best approach ? This studio course will show the difference and give you tips to paint better!
May 4- June 1 “Acrylic Painting” (K-12)-Alison Vernon – -4 Mondays 4-5:15 Students will learn the basics of acrylic painting which includes color theory, composition, and technique. Students will be encouraged to paint a variety of subjects (animals, landscapes, and florals) over the four weeks. The classroom environment is always supportive and enthusiastic.
