Old Business

Flaghole Road Update: A different turnaround site has been located. It will meet the New Hampshire state guidelines. The Andover School District and family/residence will sign an agreement. A letter has been sent to the family.

Transportation RFP Update: Bids are due on Friday at noon. More information will be made available at the December board meeting.

New Business

Michelle motioned to nominate Anne Swayze as Vice Chair. Mark H. made the second. All were in favor and the motion was approved. Anne accepted the nomination.

First Read: Chris explained the policy acceptance process. The New Hampshire School Board Association provides models. At tonight’s meeting, the first reading of each of the policies will be presented. At the next meeting, the second readings to adopt the policies will take place for:

  • EFA – Availability and distribution of healthy food
  • GBEF – School District Internet access for staff
  • IMBA – Distance Education
  • IMGA – Service animals
  • JLCK – Special physical health needs of students

Principal Slayton’s Assessment Presentation: Anna Kate Hattan (AE/MS Reading Specialist) and Amanda Lauster (Title 1 Reading Teacher) presented information regarding Response to Instruction, Universal Screening, Data Meetings, and Full Learning Experiences that are currently in practice at Andover Elementary/Middle School. Information will be placed on the school Web site.

Superintendent’s Report

Mark M. spoke about a prospective graphics/multimedia/video project that will be created by Merrimack Valley High School students. It will involve a demographic overview of the towns that are a part of School Administrative Unit 46. Highlights of the schools will be included. This information will be helpful to families that are transitioning to different buildings throughout the district along with other community members.
