LRGHealthcare and the Franklin Mayor’s Drug Task Force invite you to share in an evening celebrating the work of the task force and its partners. This annual celebration will highlight substance abuse prevention efforts in Franklin and will focus on achievements and partnerships. The public is invited to attend and learn more about the Franklin Mayor’s Drug Task Force, celebrate in the task force successes, visit partner booths, and also view the film The Hungry Heart, a new documentary film by Bess O’Brien from Vermont.

The Hungry Heart provides an intimate look at the often hidden world of prescription drug addiction through the eyes of Vermont Pediatrician Fred Holmes, who works with young patients struggling with this disease. Inspired by this film, Dr. Paul Racicot of LRGHealthcare will lead a panel discussion on addiction and recovery following the film.
