Members present: Selectman Coolidge and Selectwoman Viandier; Jim Delaney, Wood Sutton, Chief Laramie and Town Administrator (TA) Marj Roy.
Town Administrator
Marj Roy presented the cost for a table microphone. A wired microphone would cost $600 to $1,000 and a wireless microphone would cost between $1,000 and $2,000. Either option will require synchronization with the camera. The funds would come from the Cable TV account, but no decision was made.
The Town Report has gone to press, and the final report will be reviewed on February 18. This year’s process has been hampered by the new state computer system for DRA.
Marj will be holding quarterly meetings with the department and committee heads. This would involve Police, Recreation, EMS, Highway, Fire Department, ZBA, Planning Board, and Conservation. The quarterly meetings will be a time for any questions regarding amounts that have hit their accounts and to review their budget.
The town warrant will be posted on February 23.
Roy requested a vote to authorize an engineering study on the Lawrence Street Bridge. Three quotes will be required. Selectman Coolidge and Selectwoman Viandier voted to approve study.
Wood Sutton approached the Select Board to see if they would consider leaving the street lights on Flaghole Road. It was explained that the Town voted at the last Town Meeting not to raise the money to pay the expense to keep the lights on. Wood Sutton presented a check for payment for the six street lights that are being discontinued. The Board did not accept the payment.
Warrant Articles were reviewed and assigned to the people who would be presenting them at Town Meeting.
Intent to Cut and Veterans Tax Credit were signed by Chairman Coolidge and Selectwoman Viandier.
