Sunday, April 12, from 1 to 3 on Beech Hill Road

Press release

Learn how to keep small fruit tree varieties blooming and producing for years to come during this free workshop on Sunday, April 12, from 1 to 3 PM at 354 Beech Hill Road in Andover. This demonstration will cover variety selection, planting, pruning, feeding, and integrated pest management.

Some pruning equipment will be available, but feel free to bring loppers or saws if you have them.

From Route 11 in Andover, turn onto Lawrence Street (next to Jake’s Market), bear left and uphill when it turns into Beech Hill Road, and continue to the end of the road; look for the big yellow barn on the right and park anywhere along the edge of the road.

Sponsored by the Andover Community Association, the workshop will be taught by Mary Lloyd-Evans and Peter Zak from the Highland Lake Apple Farm in East Andover.
