On a perfect Sunday in April, Andover's Peter Zak, longtime local apple grower and cider maker, offered a tree-pruning demonstration on the Beech Hill property of Jimmy Sferes and Jennifer White. The two-hour hands-on presentation, sponsored by the Andover Community Association, drew nearly a score of local tree-owners.
