Exhibit: “Beautiful Markings: Native American Tattoos” May 1 to July 12. Liz Charlebois (Abenaki) guest curator.

For thousands of years people have been marking their bodies for personal and spiritual reasons. See examples of modern day traditional tattooing of First Nations people in the Contemporary Art Gallery at Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, 18 Highlawn Road, Warner. For additional information  456-2600     IndianMuseum.org. Admission to the Art Gallery is free.

Classes: Shell Engraving, Beginner & Intermediate. Master shell carver Alex Alvarez will be returning to Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum. This year he will be teaching two classes.

Beginner class: May 13 to 15, from  6 to 9 PM (Must attend all 3 days). Cost: MKIM members- $50 + $20 materials fee, Non-Member: $70+$20 materials fee.

Intermediate class: May 16 and 17,from 10 to 3 PM. (Must attend both days). Cost: MKIM member-$50 + $35 materials fee Non-Member: $70+$35 materials fee. Space is limited, pre-registration is required. Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, 18 Highlawn Road. Registrations   456-2600     IndianMuseum.org.
