The school year seems to be flying by, which means we are already gearing up for a new track season. The season began with our first practices in March. Grades five through eight will be representing the school at several meets this season. The team is 34 members strong. It should be an exciting year once again for track.

Coach Nick Fairall is taking this season off from leading the Andover Track Team. We wish him a speedy recovery as he focuses on getting himself back into Olympic shape. We already miss seeing him and his great energy out on the track.
Andover still has two great assistant coaches who have stepped up in Nick’s absence. Coach Brian Reynolds is an avid runner himself, and he has always brought that experience and enthusiasm to the team. Coach Reynolds also coaches cross-country running at AE/MS in the fall.
Coach Ginny Clasby will also continue to help again this year. Coach Clasby is a former student athlete from Merrimack Valley High School and brings with her a great track attitude. Her skills help to bring out the best from the athletes at AE/MS. The Eagles are in good hands! In addition, other adults help with practices and provide support at meets.
Proctor Academy is hosting a 5K run on Saturday, May 23, and many of our AE/MS Eagles will be running. AEMS students are being given free race admission and get a free t-shirt for the Proctor Academy 5K.
Visit AEMSeagles.org for team updates and changes in the schedule.
Go, Eagles!
