Gay H. Gould, of Groton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 9, 2012, after being stricken at her home. She was 66.
Born on July 24, 1946 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Elizabeth (Levine) Holford. Gay graduated from high school in Washington, DC and then attended Georgetown University in Washington, DC. In August 1965, she married Kenneth H. Gould in Montgomery, Maryland after a period of courtship. She and Kenneth resided in the Washington, DC area for several years before moving to Lincoln in 1969. They lived in Lincoln for many years.
In earlier years, she worked at the Longhorn Restaurant and then worked seasonally as a hostess and cashier at Mr. W’s Restaurant in Lincoln, including this past season.
Gay enjoyed doing crafts and sold them at local craft fairs. She was known for her Christmas ornaments, laminated glass plates, and adult bibs. She enjoyed being around the house doing crossword puzzles and reading.
She leaves her husband of 47 years, Kenneth H. Gould of Groton; her sons, Thomas E. Gould of Laconia and Russell H. Gould and his wife Ida of Campton; three grandchildren: Cory Conant-Gould of Bristol and Laura Sausville and Zachary Gould, both of Campton; two great-grandchildren, Jazmine and Cory, Jr.; and a sister, Joanne Blaschke of Maryland. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Donald Gould and his wife Marilyn of Andover.
