Jeff Warner Returns with “Songs of Old New Hampshire”

Illuminates the 19th century through song

By Suzy Norris, Andover Historical Society

Mark your calendars! Jeff Warner will appear at the Highland Lake Grange Hall on Thursday, June 25, at 7 PM.

The Andover Historical Society, with the generous help of the New Hampshire Humanities Council, is delighted to announce that we have lured Jeff Warner back to kick off our 2015 season. If you attended his performance last year, you know he is a must-see. Jeff’s performance this year is titled Songs of Old New Hampshire.

Jeff connects 21st century audiences with the music and lives of 19th century people. He accompanies his songs on concertina, banjo, guitar, and pocket instruments such as bones and spoons. He is a folklorist and a Community Scholar for the New Hampshire Center on the Arts. He has toured nationally for the Smithsonian Institution. Jeff knows and loves his subject – a thoroughly engaging presenter.

Come join us, and learn some history through song! The evening is free and open to all, and refreshments will be served.
