Teen Challenge on June 28

By Sandy Miller, ACC

A total of $326 was collected for Samaritan’s Purse’s Give-a-Goat charity which gives cows, goats, sheep, chickens, etc. to third-world countries to help them provide for their own food.

This month we are doing a “baby bottle collection” for the Care Net Pregnancy Center in Laconia. Bottles were passed out on Mother’s Day for people to put loose change in and are to be returned on Father’s Day. This organization provides support and alternatives for those who are expecting a baby, with the goal to help them choose life.

We continue to provide food for both the Twin Rivers Food Closet and the Andover Food Pantry.

We are planning to host Teen Challenge on Sunday, June 28. Teen Challenge is a group of men from Brockton, Massachusetts, who have had addiction problems and decided to join Teen Challenge to help them turn their lives around through the power of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

These men, of ages ranging from teens to 50s or older, will give testimony as to how they have changed and will also sing Christian songs. Please join us if you can.

Pastor John Wagner will be on Sabbatical for the summer, beginning on June 8. Guest ministers and members of the congregation will help out in his absence.

Vacation Bible School will take place this summer, but the date has not yet been determined – probably sometime in July or August.

We welcome your attendance at our Church services or Sunday School program on Sundays at 9:30 AM. Call the Church office if you have any questions at 735-5160.
