Remembering the Northern Railroad’s Glory Days

Exhibit in Potter Place depicts many remaining artifacts

The photo exhibit now on display at the Andover Historical Society's (AHS) Potter Place railroad station museum is fabulous, a not-to-be-missed show featuring photos of many of the more interesting artifacts left intact along the old Northern Railroad line. AHS docent Bob Currier of Andover, pictured here, was particularly helpful in bringing that past into view for visitors on June 13, noting that he helped shovel coal from the rail cars into waiting delivery trucks at the Andover station with his grandfather when he was a boy. The museum is open this month on Saturdays from 10 AM to 3 PM and Sundays from 1 to 3 PM. Photo and caption: Lindy Heim
