AE/MS Fifth and Sixth Grades Enjoy Franconia Notch Attractions

A perfect day ... black bears included

AE/MS sixth and seventh graders traveled north to the Flume Gorge and Cannon Tramway for their end-of-the-school-year field trip. It was a perfect day to explore the beauty and educational opportunities of Franconia Notch. We traveled through the refreshing Flume Gorge in the morning and then headed up the Cannon Tramway for a 4,000' lunch view overlooking the Notch. We even got to see some black bears on the ski trails from the parking lot. This is a fantastic, free field trip made available for New Hampshire public schools through the Division of Parks and Recreation. Photo and caption: Ryan Murphy
