Astronomer Kevin Manning, a former consultant with NASA, will be in Andover in September for an evening of stars and star-gazing.

The Andover and Wilmot public libraries will host a free astronomy evening on Wednesday, September 16, starting at 7 PM in the AE/MS gym. Astronomy for Everyone: The Size and Scale of the Universe is a 90-minute program for kids age seven and up, as well as adults.

Astronomer Kevin Manning, a former consultant with NASA, will share his passion for astronomy as he shows you the size and scale of the universe, the stars, and other celestial wonders using hands-on activities and assorted visuals.

Following the indoor presentation, we will go outside (weather permitting) and look up at the night sky to view celestial objects, such as the rings of Saturn and the craters on the moon, through a powerful hand-crafted telescope.
