Finance Report: Robin stated that a fund balance will be presented at the September Board Meeting and that the first financial report of 2015-2016 will be in October.

Old Business

Facilities Study Update: Mark M. stated that the creation of the Task Force is in process and that the next steps are to be determined.

New Business

Transportation Study: Robin is going to invite Percy Abbott to the September board meeting. He has had 40 years of experience and has done work for the Merrimack Valley School District. He is highly recommended by administration to assist Andover with their study.

New Board Member Process: Anne Swayze sent a letter of resignation through an e-mail to both the members of the Board and School Administration.

Mark H. made a motion to approve the resignation of Anne Swayze from the Andover School Board effective immediately. Dean made the second. The motion was passed with regrets.

A vacancy post will be placed on the Andover Elementary Middle/School Web site and in The Andover Beacon. Interviews will take place before the September board meeting.

Superintendent’s Report: Mark M. was pleased to have attended the kindergarten graduation and to witness the enthusiasm of the community. He recently sent the AE/MS staff a Welcome Back letter for the new school year. The Administrative Retreat will take place this week and will include discussions involving the Superintendent’s Vision, Staff Evaluation, Goals, and District Activities.

Mark H. moved to accept the nomination of Courtney Minnehan as the new Andover Elementary School Art Teacher. Dean made the second. All were in favor and the nomination was accepted.
