Each fall, 22 Proctor students spend the 10-week term aboard the schooner Roseway, sailing from Glouchester, Massachusetts to St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. While aboard the Roseway, students study marine biology, navigation, history, and maritime literature and work full time to crew the 100-foot sailing ship into multiple ports along the way.

This fall, former AE/MS Eagles Carl Hubbard ’17, Cope Makechnie ’17, and Taylor Methven ’16 are among the student crew members who set sail on September 24. You can follow their journey at blogs.ProctorAcademy.org.
