Fire Department Truck Replacement Plans:

Andy Guptill opened the meeting with a review of the plans the Fire Department’s truck committee has for equipment replacement. The committee agreed to ask Andy back for a more detailed review of the capital equipment replacement schedule.

Capital Requests Review:

Next, the current list of capital improvement requests was reviewed and discussed for those that had enough information to be deemed complete. Several of the inputs are missing cost and timing information.

Capital Reserve Review:

Data Supplied by the Trustee of Trust Funds, Joanne Edgar, was presented for the committee to review.

Committee Deliverable for 2015:

The expected schedule for completing the committee’s first Capital Improvement Plan was discussed. It was agreed that due to late input from the departments there would not be enough time to generate an accurate and useful plan for this year’s planning cycle. Doug will meet with the budget committee and select board to present the current progress.

Committee Schedule:

The committee discussed the plans for the next few months. It was agreed that the committee would meet on the third Thursday for November (19th) and December (17th) to continue to work through the capital requests.

The NEXT CIP meeting is scheduled for November 19.
