The Andover Service Club (ASC) met on Wednesday, November 11 at 10 AM in the Highland Lake Grange Hall. The usual business reports were read and accepted. Sign-ups for the Thanksgiving Pie Sale on November 24 and 25 were finalized, and sign-ups for the upcoming Christmas luncheon at 74 Main (the Millstone) in New London on December 9 also occurred. Raffle tickets for the “Gifts Galore” baskets are to be sold and winning tickets will be drawn at the Christmas luncheon.

On January 13, the ASC ladies will be meeting at 10 AM in the Highland Lake Grange Hall, and after regular order, the program will be “time for crafting.” The ladies will be working on their pieces for the new “Welcome Spring” Art and Craft Show and Sale on May 7 at AE/MS. If you would like to participate in the event, please contact Mary Ofenloch at 735-4101 (after 10 AM) or e-mail MaryO.ASClub@nulllive.com for an application.

The dreaded April 15 tax day will be here soon. The ASC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donation is tax-deductible. Donations benefit the ASC Merit Scholarship Fund. “Thank you” to those who have already donated. Your generosity is sincerely appreciated.

During the beautiful Holiday Season, the ladies of ASC wish you and yours a Very Merry and Holy Christmas, and a Happy and Healthy New Year!

As we gather around the dinner table to celebrate the season with family and friends, let us all remember our military, who are away from home, fighting for the freedom we all enjoy, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep America free. May God Bless Us, Everyone.
