On November 10, AE/MS students shared their appreciation with local veterans. Students shared in a variety of formats, but all were focused on the gratitude students feel for the veterans. Students shared creative slide shows, beautiful art work, cards, and music. The Eagle Cafe was open after the assembly. There, veterans and their families were able to sit and chat with each other while eighth grade students served coffee, cider, and baked goods. Subway of New London provided all the veterans with coupons for two free sandwiches in November. It was a very special morning and one of the most favorite days of the year at AE/MS. After the program, veterans gathered for the annual group photo.
