The Mission Committee reports that over 50 shoeboxes were filled and sent to Samaritan’s Purse for Operation Christmas Child. A big “Thank you!” to all who helped in any way. These shoeboxes are filled with various items (toys, toiletries, school supplies, etc.) and shipped to countries all over the world where there is a need.
Several people from Church attended a gathering of Christians in Concord on January 19 to hear Franklin Graham speak at his “Decision America Tour Mission.” Although the weather was cold, they were inspired and encouraged by his message of the importance of the 2016 election.
The Church’s annual meeting is to be held on Sunday, January 31, following Church service. We will hear reports of the committees and vote on an annual budget. Leaders of the church are planning an overnight retreat at Singing Hills facility in Plainfield on March 4 and 5.
The Andover Congregational Church does have a prayer chain. If you would like a special prayer for yourself or a loved one, begin by calling Ginny Newton at 934-3171, and she will pass it on to the next person on the list. It is certainly comforting to know others are praying for you in your difficulties. If you are unable to reach Ginny, call the Church office at 735-5160 or Pastor John’s house at 735-5928.
We continue to have “Second Saturdays for Guys” held at the Highland Lake Grange Hall in East Andover from 8:30 to 10 AM with good food and fellowship and inspiring speakers. Call Bob Grover at 470-7248 for more information.
Our regular worship services are held at 9:30 AM. Sunday School is also at the same time. We would love to have you join us in worship or Sunday School.
