Press release
It’s that time of year again! The Holidays are just around the corner, and it’s time for the Franklin Rotary Club’s annual Christmas Tree Sale. All trees for the Rotary sale come from the beautiful Rocks Christmas Tree Farm in Bethlehem, New Hampshire. But you don’t have to drive all the way to Bethlehem to pick up your tree – the Christmas Tree Sale will be in the parking lot plaza at 880 Central Street in Franklin, across from the Soda Shoppe.
Full-size trees, table tops, and wreaths will be on sale starting November 24. The sale will end on December 23 unless trees are sold out earlier. We will be open Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 8 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 8 PM.
The Franklin Rotary Club is a volunteer group of local community and business leaders and has been active in Franklin since the group’s inception in 1928. Franklin Rotary Club has a reputation throughout the district as one of its most active and vibrant smaller clubs.
All proceeds raised from the Christmas Tree Sale will go directly toward supporting Rotary’s mission to serve the community of Franklin. Some examples of local programs and services that are supported by Rotary include scholarships to Franklin High School students and financial support for Camp Mayhew, Franklin VNA, Troop 61 Boy Scouts, and the Youth Exchange Program. The Rotary Club has also been happy to sponsor shows at the Franklin Opera House.
In addition, the Franklin Rotary Club provides support to regional issues as needed, such as collaborating with other local Rotary Clubs to send financial aid to Vermont residents recovering from Hurricane Irene damage. In addition, there are several international programs receiving support from the Franklin Rotary Club including the Pure Water for the World initiative, and the Shelter Box program which provides emergency housing and needed supplies to countries suffering from natural disasters.
