Slide/Swing Set Area: It was decided that a four-foot chain link fence be installed from the top of the culvert to the driveway and down the driveway to keep children away from cars coming in. An eight-foot-wide stretch for parking would be on the left side of the driveway for parking.
Play area elements are part of a continuing discussion.
Mountain Bike Proposal: Drew Donaldson introduced his Mountain Biking proposal.
- Kids would need a bike and a helmet.
- All bikes would be checked over before use.
- All kids would need Recreation Committee waivers.
- The plan would be to use SHARE Day to test interest.
- A three-day program in late June is planned.
An effort would be made to find times when kids from other sports could take part. As usual, all parents involved in helping with mountain biking would need to get background checks.
