Jere Daniell to Speak on “The New Hampshire Town”

Historical Society sponsors free program

Press release

The Andover Historical Society will be holding a public meeting on Thursday, June 16, at the Highland Lake Grange Hall in East Andover. Our guest presenter will be Jere Daniell, whose topic will be “The New Hampshire Town.”

This program, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7 PM and will be followed by refreshments. This event is made possible thanks to a grant from the New Hampshire Humanities.

Jere Daniell is a retired Dartmouth College history professor. He has published four books, and his “Humanities To Go” programs focus on New Hampshire. He has lectured in about three quarters of the state’s 235 towns and cities, frequently speaking on the history of the community where he is speaking.

Jere, whose family has deep roots in Franklin, is very familiar with our area, and he will be including lots of Andover and Franklin material in his remarks. It should be a fun evening. Please join us!
