Our needs for the month of June at the Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry are paper products such as tissue paper, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. I will emphasize that these do not decorate neighborhood homes – promise!
We ask for another item that, for a month or more, we have not been able to obtain from the New Hampshire Food Bank. Jelly!
I am wondering, since jelly comes from grapes, etc., are these berries in demand by wineries or something? The cost of everything has risen these days – but why delicious, juicy, yummy jelly that must be slathered over the top of smooth or chunky peanut butter sandwiches that our young people rely upon?
And remember, school is coming to a close soon, and the demand will be enormous for us. I wish I knew why such a standard everyday staple is so difficult for us to keep on our shelves.
Will you help us with either of these items? Donations can be made on any Tuesday and Thursday from 8 to 11 AM or Wednesday evenings from 4 to 7 PM.
