Proctor Academy’s term-long off-campus programs provide an unparalleled educational experience to students as they fully immerse themselves in their learning. This fall, four local students will take part in Proctor’s Ocean Classroom and Proctor en Segovia off-campus programs.

Aiden Cox ‘18 and Sam Royal ‘18, both of Andover, and Sage Fletcher ‘18 of Springfield will help crew a 100-foot schooner along the eastern seaboard on Ocean Classroom. They will depart Gloucester, Massachusetts on September 23 and will study marine biology, navigation, and maritime literature while making stops in Woods Hole, Massachusetts; Mystic, Connecticut; Manhattan Harbor; Baltimore Harbor; and Charleston, South Carolina before enduring a 13-day passage to St. Croix, where they will complete their final three weeks of study in the Carribean Sea.

Andover’s Curtis Chamberlin ‘17 will travel to Segovia, Spain to live with a host family and take part in Proctor en Segovia for the 10 weeks of the fall term. There he will join nine other students to study Spanish language, culture, and literature with Proctor en Segovia faculty members.
