US Senate, Republican, Kelly Ayotte

Opinion - Op Ed - AyotteI currently represent New Hampshire in the US Senate. I wake up every day with a sense of purpose to fight for a better quality of life for you and your family – that’s what drives my work.

This election is about the future and what kind of opportunities we can provide for the next generation, and I know that the only way we’re going to solve problems and make progress is by working together. When we focus on priorities we share instead of our differences, we can get great things done for New Hampshire and for our country.

Like the bipartisan bill which recently passed that I led to address the devastating heroin epidemic. And solutions I’ve helped pass that will improve education, make it easier to create good-paying jobs, and strengthen our workforce. I’ve been proud to fight for our veterans and for the men and women who serve our country at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Pease, and in our Guard.

When either party pushes ideas that are wrong for New Hampshire, I push back. And that’s what I’ll keep doing, regardless of who’s in the White House. I will fight for you and your family.

There’s a lot more work to do, and it’s going to take someone with the courage to stand up to both parties to do what’s right for New Hampshire, and someone who is able to find common ground to deliver results. That’s what I’ve done in the Senate, and that’s why I ask for your vote so we can continue the work that we started, together.
