Donna Baker-Hartwell sent this photo from Andover’s past, which she believes was taken around 1960 by Lyman Currier. Standing in front of the East Andover Congregational Church are Elizabeth Dodge, Lizzie Elkins, Stella Thompson, Ellen Schoolcraft Taylor, and Daisy Eastman. Except for Ellen, they all served on the Andover School Board in the late 1920s. Daisy is Susan Schnare’s great-grandmother; Stella is Donna’s great-grandmother; and Ellen is Rita Norander’s great-aunt. Donna remembers them as being “good friends and amazing women.”
