Rest of the Town Report: Andover Service Club

The Andover Service Club (ASC) is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The mission of ASC is to be of service to the people of the community and state and to broaden and strengthen the social and intellectual life of members. Any woman who is interested in service may become a member of the club. Annual dues are $7.

Hundreds of Andover high school and continuing education students have benefited financially from the ASC scholarship program. ASC also contributes to the Andover After School Program, The Andover Beacon, AE/MS, Andover Food Pantry, Andover and Bachelder Libraries, Andover One Wheelers, East Andover Village Preschool, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, Kearsarge Council on Aging, Lake Sunapee VNA, Highland Lake Grange Hall Restoration, Danbury School, Child and Family Services, Friends of the Northern Rail Trail, Andover Children’s Christmas, and Flowers for Shut-Ins.

ASC runs the Thrift Shop, located by AE/MS. Proceeds from the sale of almost-new clothing and accessories are income for the ASC Merit Scholarship Program.

Fundraisers to support our work include raffles, Proctor Birthday Cake project, dinners for the Masons, luncheons at Election and Town Meeting days, in-house auctions, treasure and bake sales, Thrift Shop sales, Thanksgiving pie sales, Pumpkin Festival, memorials, and donations.
