On December 6, 2016, Kayla Hartwell received her PhD in Anthropology from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. She is a graduate of the Andover Elementary/Middle School, a 2002 graduate of Proctor Academy and a 2006 graduate of College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine. Dr. Kayla plans to continue her research of the Geoffroy’s spider monkey at Runaway Creek Nature Reserve, Belize, Central America. She wishes to express her appreciation for the Andover Service Club’s Educational Scholarship. It has meant a lot to her over the years to receive support from her home town.
