The Boy Scout troop 489 of Andover New Hampshire learned how to weld from a parent of one of the tenderfoots that joined the troop early this year. We learned how to weld using ping and ming, techniques of welding. The first time we met to weld we learned the basics and practice. The second time we went to weld we made a portable fire pit that we can use on camp outs and outings. Shown in photo is Matt Bent practicing how to weld.
