We had the best turnout yet for our Closest to the Pin fundraiser. Eighty-Eight tickets were sold. There were lots of people taking their first swings and a strong cadre of really good golfers. Prizes were free golf at CCNH (Kearsrarge) and Den Brae, and a carton of PRO V’s!

The usual suspects were very much in evidence at the top. Two time winner, Dennis Phelps of Danbury, struggled with the strong wind and had to make do with 3rd Place at 6’4″ from the pin. There was an unlikely tie for first between Andover’s Leighton Terwilliger and Tim Braley at 3’1″. A playoff round was decided upon, which went to Tim Braley. Everyone was asking after perennial favorite, Richard Brewster, who has often won, but he couldn’t make it this year.
