Soccer Program Report

• Only 31 kids signed up
• 17 3rd and 4th group signed up
• 14 5th and 6th group signed up
• Challenge is league needs numbers by August 15 for scheduling
• Heidi going to reach out to Jane to send email out
• NL extends 1st and 2nd grade to September 1 – need to try to do this
• We will not add late fee for those families who move to town after deadline

Equipment Needs:

Mountain Biking Program Update

Everything scheduled for Thursday –13 kids signed up –canceled last week due to weather  

Track and Field Update

No program this year since Brian is out of commission with injuries – program will be back in action           next year

Building – Policy Use and Keys

Building was left a mess after baseball season and a few groups of people were using the building without permission for cookouts at Blackwater Park on the weekends.

Building cannot be for personal use, especially consumption of alcohol, and we need to develop a policy for building use moving forward.

Use needs to be team sports related:

If you cannot follow rules and expectations the  programs will no longer be able to use the building.

We will post signs for acceptable use on the doors and contact

Getting contact information to Tom to email and call from Town’s perspective

Permission needed:  People need to ask to use building

Discussion concerning use:  Tom to talk to Marj and Town Office about our concerns

New Business:  

Wanted to know if the Recreation Committee is working with the senior exercise program.

At this time the Recreation Program does not see a role in this program (Bone Builders).
