SHOP AND LUNCH IN CONCORD

Monday April 8th, at 9:30 A.M.

Shop and dine at your favorite Concord stores and restaurants. Transportation cost is $2.00 and must be paid at time of sign up. Lunch is your responsibility.  No refunds will be given.

EASTER LUNCHEON

Monday, April 1st at 11:30 A.M.

Join us for a delicious Easter Luncheon including ham with raisin sauce, mashed potato, squash, biscuit, and pudding for dessert. We will have raffles and Easter egg hunt following lunch.

APRIL IS NATIONAL HUMOR MONTH

Wednesday, April 3rd at 11:30 A.M.

Bring your best jokes and duke it out!!  The funniest tables will go first, so be prepared!!

FREE HEARING EVALUATIONS

Thursday, April 4th at 10:45-12:45

Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist Christopher Streeter from Affordable Hearing LLC will be hear for free hearing evaluations, hearing aid maintenance, and hearing aid cleanings. Sign-up at the TRIP Center or call 934-4151 for an appointment.

 THINK SPRING COOKOUT

Friday, April 26th at 11:00 A.M.

Come join us for our first cookout of the season. Enjoy delicious hamburgers, hotdogs, macaroni salad, pickle, and strawberry sundae’s for dessert! Don’t forget to bring the sunshine!

Health South Rehabilitation Hospital will present these important health and safety programs at the T.R.I.P. Center. These programs are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Bring a friend!

CHOOSE FRANKLIN COMMUNITY DAY

Saturday, May 11th   

We are already planning to take part in Franklin’s Annual Community Day Celebration.  This is a fun filled day with lots to do for all ages – so bring the whole family!  There is a parade, all-day entertainment offered at the Opera House, vendors, a variety of food, games, and more. If you would like to volunteer please call  934-4151.

FRANKLIN OPERA HOUSE

Sunday, April 14th at 2:00 P.M.

It’s fine fiddling with Ellen Carlson and the New Hampshire Fiddle Ensemble. The Fiddle Ensemble presents fun fiddle music in various traditions (Irish, old-time, Klezmer, Cajun, swing) plus singing and dancing from musicians aged 7-80. This is the fourth year that the Franklin Opera House has hosted the New Hampshire Fiddle Ensemble, and each year the Ensemble has grown and developed into a high energy, entertaining show with a high ticket demand. Don’t miss this show!

Tuesday, April 23rd, at 10:30A.M.

Anita Oelfke will be here on the fourth Tuesday of each month to help you with Medicare Advantages. She will have up-to-date information for you.  You may have a one-on-one appointment with her.

Tuesday, April 16th, at 10:30A.M.

Wayne Blanchard from Service Link  will be here on the third Tuesday of each month to meet with anyone who may have questions about long term care options for care in the home to maintain independence. He can also answer general medicare questions.

VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION

The VNA will be here on Tuesday, April 30th  at 10:30AM.  The nurse comes the last Tuesday of every month.

GO WALKING FOR YOUR HEALTH

¨      Walk on your lunch hour

¨      Walk for 5-10 minutes whenever you can

¨      Walk to and from errands

¨      Find a friend to walk with you

¨      Talk business or think through a project while walking

¨      Walk early in the morning for extra energy

¨      Buy new walking shoes for motivation

¨      Keep walking shoes at work so you’re      ready anytime
 

ON GOING EVENTS

  • Take the bus into Concord the second Monday of each month to go bowling, shopping or to an appointment.  A donation of $2.00 round trip is requested.
  • Line dancing every Monday and Friday at 10:00AM.
  • Blood pressure testing the fourth Tuesday of each month at 10:30AM.  Provided by the Franklin VNA.
  • Yoga on Wednesdays at 10:00AM; cost is $7.00 per session.
  • Chair exercises Tuesdays & Thursdays at 10:00AM.

       •     Early Risers every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30 a.m.

        •    BINGO Tuesday’s & Thursday’s at  12:00.

VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION BREAKFAST

Monday, April 22nd at 8:30 A.M.

The week of April 21st  is National Volunteer Appreciation Week and here at the Center we will be honoring our volunteers with a special breakfast.  Volunteers are such an enormous part of what makes the TRIP Center a great place to be.  There are so many generous people that give their time helping out in many ways.  Our volunteers are doing a great service and we want them all to know how grateful we are to have them.  Come join us to help celebrate these wonderful folks!
