The Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust invites you to join them on a Timber Harvest/Snowshoe Hike on the Johnson/Byfield Easement on Saturday, January 27, 2018, 10 AM to Noon.
Nate Byfield, owner of the 92-acre Johnson/Byfield conservation easement in Sutton Mills, along with Merrimack County Forester Tim Fleury and forester Tim Wallace, will host a tour of this important property. We hope you will join us as they share how a timber harvest is part of land stewardship.
As a good steward of his property and as a means to sustain this property for generations to come, Nate is managing his land by following a low-impact forest management plan created by Tim Wallace.
Note: The trails are icy in spots. In addition to dressing warmly, participants need to wear either ice and snow tracking cleats, ice trekkers or snowshoes.
Refreshments will be served. RSVP to Kristy Heath at 526-6555 or email kheathausbonsargent.org
