Margaret D. “Dee” McIntyre, 94, of Crystal Lake, passed away April 15, 2018 at the Fountains in Crystal Lake. She was born on January 23, 1924 to Sigurd W. and Anne (Smith) Olsen in Detroit, Michigan. On February 12, 1944, she married the love of her life, Orrin McIntyre, in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dee lived in various parts of the country during her lifetime. Most recently, she moved from Woodstock to The Fountains, where she resided for the past three years. Earlier in her working years, she was employed as a bank clerk. Dee was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by her loving family.
She leaves behind her children, Molly (Paul) Azzaline of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Orrin (Charlotte) McIntyre III of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Susan (George) Rochon of Andover, New Hampshire; ten grandchildren, Heather (Rick) Jewell, Christopher (Jill) Azzaline, Elizabeth (Doug) McGowan, Andrew (Heidi) Azzaline, Maggie (Shawn) Sponer, Lyndsey McIntyre, Jeanne-Marie (James) Meyer, Orrin IV (Julie) McIntyre, Ovid (Afton) Rochon, Chloe (Tucker) Prudden; and 12 great-grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Bridget, Katie, Ryan, Gavin, Alexandra, Ian, Ashlyn, Cooper, Ella, and Ezra.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orrin; a sister, Audrey Herbert; and a brother, Robert Olsen.
Friends visited with her family from 4 until 7 PM on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, Illinois 60050. The memorial service  followed visitation, andl began at 7 PM at the funeral home. Her family will gather at a later date for the inurnment rite at Rest Haven Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.
